Butler Fold equity is an implied value gained by folding, most often applied by the presence of an outside bonus or reward that could be had simply by releasing your poker hand regardless of the actual content of what is on the table. Fold equity is most directly applicable in tournament situations where the value of cash prizes ascends the longer you stay in, so that by simply surviving the hand while another poker online player busts, you move up in prize money. For instance, you are at the final table of a large poker tournament, and a player with about your stack goes all in, followed by an all in another player who has more chips than both the original raiser and yourself, you are then given the choice whether to call for your tournament life, or fold. In this spot, with a hand like pocket jacks, which could easily be the best hand, you are getting fold equity in the idea that if you fold and stay alive and the original player busts, you will automatically move up in prize money. The amount of the prize money gained by doing nothing but folding gives you equity in making what is otherwise a coin flip or even slightly more lucrative decision.

There are many ways that a previously action filled board can suddenly get shut down. In poker hands where two or more players have a large holding early on, there are many flops, turns, and rivers that can come that scare all players involved into the idea that they are behind, or could be, and thus should be more cautious about putting money into the pot.

For instance, when preflop a player has KK and another player has QQ, and they see the flop after a raise and a reraise only to see the board come down with an ace on it, suddenly neither player really cares for their hand. Same as when a new high card comes on the turn: the texture of the board has changed. Whereas if three undercards came, odds are that both online poker players are going to end up raising and reraising, resulting in a large pot. Action killing cards can turn what would have been a monster into a check check situation.

All this is a great argument for the idea of slow playing less, and betting aggressively more at the poker online room. Though we tend to like to try to milk pots, sometimes the better way to do this is to act before your opponent, or you, has a chance to get scared by coming cards.

Some poker online players stick to the virtual game and rarely venture into live casino games. Live games differ wildly from poker online games, and players who are new to live action in casinos and poker rooms, should keep a couple of valuable pointers in mind:

  * Put on a poker face. Everyone can see you and will be looking for body language tells. Whether you adopt of stoney still stance or a super friendly chatty presence, stick to it and don’t let changes in your behavior or posture give away your hand and feelings.

  * Unlike online poker, where you can constantly see your hand, in live action, you have to carefully peek at yours cards. You should be careful about not exposing them to any other players but cup your hands around them, and expose as little as possible to identify your cards.

  * Once you have looked at your cards, remember them! It sounds simplistic but this is fundamental at live poker tables. Players who have to continually look at their cards give off tells about the hand. Memorize your cards when you look at them. If you do have to look again, do so when the pre-flop action completes so you know absolutely whether or not the flop hits your hand.

  * Unlike online poker, the pot size is not displayed. You must calculate this yourself to base your betting on pot size. If the chips are piled in such a way as to make it hard to count, ask the dealer to spread them out so you can approximate how much is in the pot. The dealer is not allowed to count the pot chips for you.

Setting Up for live wedding music is just one of about a thousand jobs facing brides and wedding planners. Between flowers, photographers, locales, gowns, parties, rings, video, and more, even a little and low-keyed wedding demands a tremendous amount of planning. It can be a stressful time because if even one of these areas falls through the cracks, your big day can end up being a huge disappointment.

Here are five secrets to hiring live wedding music players for your ceremony and reception:

1. Make sure you employ a musician with a proven track record of professionalism. Does the director return your telephone calls promptly? Does the dance band have a web site? Business cards? Other marketing materials? Or do you get the feeling you’re talking to a guy rehearsing in his garage with his pals? The way the band presents itself as you begin talking with them is a great indicator of how they’ll come on (or not!) on your wedding day.

2. Punctuality is important. When you set an appointment to connect personally or on the phone, it’s like a mini-contract. If the band director is tardy to meet with you, it’s a discouraging sign that they don’t take their agreements earnestly. If they can’t arrive on time in the preparation stage, what other arrangements will they fail with you on your wedding day? This carries on to you, also – being timely is just one way you can live a life that shows that you abide by your promises.

3. Make sure the band is easy-going rather than being a bunch of prima donnas. By now you’ve probably heard a hundred Bridezilla jokes, even if you’re not hard to please or extreme. Imagine hiring the equivalent in craziness for your wedding band. The last thing you need on your wedding day is to have to wait on your musicians hand and foot, fetching them food and drink, having the thermostat adjusted for them, or tending to other hard to please demands. The greatest band for you is one that can take care of itself, one that’s easy to get along with, and one that does all it can to make sure your day is fabulous and fun for you.

4. Employ a wedding band that’s fun. Getting hitched is one of the greatest decisions you’ll ever make. It’s serious business. The music on your wedding day should be glorious and fun. You don’t want to see your invitees oblivious, spaced-out, and wishing the party was finished. You want them up, dancing, singing, and grinning. If you choose a live wedding music band well, your choice will do a great deal to make your wedding day unforgettable in a fabulous way. This is the big day you’ve been ready for, and music is such a large part of it. Make sure you employ a musician that makes the day perfect – pleasant for you and your invitees.

There are lot of questions surrounding online poker and it’s lucrative nature so today we’re going to address a few of those questions and hopefully give some closure to you budding stars.

First, do poker payers pay taxes? Well, yes, they do. Gambling winnings are considered income and are thus subject to the same kind of tax scale as income tax that you would pay if you worked a regular job. However, anything under 500 dollars in the US is considered too small to tax.

What about online poker online, is it safer than playing in the casinos? Well yes and no. In any arena where money is involved, there exist people out there to try to cheat or steal it away from you. As far as safe goes, concerning bodily harm, of course online casinos are safer. No one is going to stalk you as you walk out the door with some big winnings after you close your computer. Really it just depends on what kind of safety you’re concerned about. Because of course on the other side of the coin, there exist sites that are solely interested in taking your money online, but those don’t survive for long.

How do you get paid when playing online professionally? Well most of the time the casinos write paper checks that are traceable. This means that you have records for your purposes when filing tax returns. Many of us file as self-employed professionals.

Is there more cheating online? Again, I think this is one of those tough to answer questions. It’d be altruistic to think that all forms of cheating and collusion could be ousted in either venue, online or live. But I don’t think it’s safe to label either one more ridden with scoundrels and cheats. It’s probably about equal, and the cheats seem to be in the very fractionally small minority.

Finally, How do you keep track of whether or not you’re making money in the long run? While this seems like a simple question, it can actually get pretty complex. I like simplicity though, so I usually just use a spreadsheet detailing the amount I’ve spent, the time I played, and a rough estimate of weekly, monthly, and yearly profit and loss. That way, I can gauge a fair estimate of my “hourly-wage,” which is sometimes up there in the triple digits for the week, and others it’s down to less than 10 dollars an hour. I can also estimate my yearly earnings and monthly average among other things that you end up noticing if you’re playing on a regular basis.

As a quick refresher for those who don’t remember, the gap concept is a concept explaining how much more a poker online player needs to bet if they don’t open. The sandwich effect relates to what a player needs to have in their hand to stay in the pot. Unlike the gap concept, the sandwich effect has to do with the actual cards in your hand, not what you need to bet. It states that you need a comparatively stronger hand if there are players behind you in the playing order. According to the sandwich effect, you need a strong hand in order to survive in the poker game because you don’t know what cards the other players may be holding. Because there is a strong element of uncertainty, you cannot really stay in the game if you only have an average hand. There is no way to accurately calculate the pot odds in this situation, so the sandwich concept comes into play. Calculating the odds is the basis of good poker play, so the only way to be a strong player in this situation is to make sure that there are no possible odds that could beat the cards in your hand.

On really bad nights, they never come around. A good starting hand is not something to be taken lightly, since in No Limit Texas Holdem <a href=”http://www.everestpoker.com/nl/”>poker</a> a single hand can turn an entire game around.

<p>So if you’ve got a good <a href=”http://www.everestpoker.fr”>poker</a> hand, just about the worst thing you can do is waste your good fortune by misplaying it. Here are a few things to keep in mind.

<p>If you’ve got a good <a href=”http://www.everestpoker.se”>poker</a> hand, make others pay to see it. Unless you feel like bluffing, checking or just calling will at best keep your pot to a minimum, and at worst give someone the chance to suck out and take the hand (and your money) from you.

<p>You can also waste a good hand by over betting after the flop. If you’re still sure that your hand is the best, you’ll want to raise just enough to keep the other guys in. String them along and make them fatten up your winnings.

<p>When you get a good hand, make sure you milk it for all it’s worth, because you never know when the next one will come.</m:defjc></m:rmargin></m:lmargin></m:dispdef></m:smallfrac>
