Mark Ronson Previews His Fall LP ‘Record Collection’

Producer Mark Ronson stepped out of his zone of comfort for his approaching album Record Collection : as well as relocating the recording from his local London to Brooklyn, Record Collection finds Ronson penning original tracks and not updating covers like he probably did on his prior solo album Version. He also swapped out the soul and brass sounds he is famous for with vintage synthesizer hooks, and even steps in front of the mic for 2 songs. “I sort of did not care the way my voice sounded,” Ronson tells Rolling Stone in the autumn Fashion showcase in our recent issue.

Dass diese nicht bei jedem Begeisterung auslst, merkte der Bruder von DJane Samantha Ronson, als er ‘Stop Me’ eine berarbeitete Version des The Smiths-Songs ‘Stop Me If you believe You have Heard This One Before’ herausbrachte und dabei auf harsche Kritik stie.
