Our Basic Need of Self Protection

| Self preservation of ourselves and our family is one of man’s basic wants. Humankind wants security. I do not know why it is but each time my better half and I’m going to see her cousin in San Diego I’m able to pondering self-protection. You see, my wife’s cousin just turned sixty but he’s still active in karate and has managed to stay in condition. I thinks its great that he’ll do this, and I am sure his understanding of the selfdefense skills would be of real help to him if he or his folks were ever attacked and had to protect themselves. I sit and contemplate the what the result would be for me or my folks who’ve had no formal martial art backgrounds and doubtless handicapped due to our physical incapacities. How can we stop ourselves from starting to become victims? What would you do in my place? I have researched crime reports and their suggestions. Just about everywhere they like to recommend using some commonsense and avoidance of scenarios and eventualities that give the edge to the criminal.
As an example : Street Safety. Using commonsense. Stay in well lighted, busy areas. Avoid walking alone and avoid known difficulty spots. Two. When you carry a purse, hold it close to your body instead of by the handles. Don’t wrap purse straps around your wrist, because it’s easy to get hurt in a struggle. Three. Carry only what you want in a wallet or purse, not everything you have. Four. Five. If you suspect you are being followed, cross the street and change directions a couple of times. Go quickly to a well-lighted place with plenty of folk. Don’t return home. You do not want an assailant to grasp where you reside. There may come times that we have taken all of the counseled cares and still find ourselves positioned to be victimised by wrongdoers. Is there anything more we will be able to do? Today we’ve got the advantage of technology like self-protection devices and surveillance kit in the types of private alarms, OC spray, nanny cams, for example. When we elect to use this technology we must employ it sensibly and be familiarized with its operation. Having knowledge on the subject of how these devices are correctly used is vital. Clearly our country and society are now a threatening place in which to live and raise our youngsters. The laws and establishments engineered to protect us are neglecting to do that.
