Looking for a phone systems in Seattle? One that will help your team that’s on the road? If you’ve ever considered Vonage, you may want to reconsider. Unfortunately, Vonage’s SimulRing has a serious issue. For a demonstration, think about this. 2 of your staff are in an important meeting, and one of the cell phones isn’t powered on, or isn’t able to receive service. A client of theirs is trying to call one of them on his cell to make a last minute appointment and the call is sent right to the message center. So, the client decides to call the main number and the call is immediately picked up again by the out-of-order cell phone’s voicemail. That is unfortunately what happens too often when VoIP technologies compete, including services like Vonage. The local company: SoundLine Communications MBX has a solution Each time a call is answered on your mobile phone which was directed from the main number, SoundLine’s system tells you who that call is from and will prompt you to press “1″ to accept the call. Therefore, by not pressing “1″, the call will keep forwarding to ring other staff member’s cellular telephones. In addition, this enables you to tell when a phone call is coming through, rather than a call that goes straight to your mobile phone. SimulRing is designed to ring up to 5 single users devices. Most people have an office phone, cell phone, and maybe another office phone so they can make sure their own devices are on and can take out the phones that are off. Because they are their own private phones, this would not cause a problem. If Vonage supported this, that would make users more likely to create a virtual office which you’d like and use the five phone numbers available with Simulring. This certainly wouldn’t be an advantage for Vonage because the costs would be high, therefore they disable it.
